  The Trap Line

Fifty fields.
To the horizon.

The Canterbury trap line stretches a half-mile across the Sonoran floor. From the back of the field, you can see all of it. The mountains do most of the talking after that.

◌ The Story

1948.

Member-owned. Built on the bedrock of southern Arizona’s sporting tradition.

The club was incorporated in 1948 by a handful of Tucson sportsmen who wanted somewhere to shoot trap and skeet without driving to Phoenix. We’ve been on the present 80-acre site west of the old city since 1976.

In 2011 we picked up a 300-acre lease from Pima County and the grounds tripled overnight. The new sporting clays courses, the international bunkers, and the Helice ring all live on that second parcel.
